Hello all,
Today we will review Hatsune Miku, cheerful version. This Nendoroid was released to help the victims of the tsunami and earthquake in 2011. For each Nendoroid that was sold, the good smile company made a donation of 1000 yen (which is about 10 euro) towards the Japan Red Cross in order to support relief efforts in Eastern Japan. Besides this Nendoroid, the goodsmile company also released a 1/8 scale of Miku and a Nendoroid of Kaito, Rin and Len.
First her box. The box is slightly bigger than a regular Nendoroid box. It's design is slightly different. Normally both sides and back do have examples of the posed nendoroid on them, this box has on top and side illustrations of the Nendoroid. Which are quite adorable.
When we look at the box its contents it's easy to explain why the box is relatively large. Miku comes with three extra faceplates, which more than a regular Nendoroid. (A regular Nendoroid usually comes with one to two extra faceplates.) Besides the faceplates, she comes with an extra front hair piece, a flag, four hands, two pompoms, a leek, one extra arm and one extra leg. I really like the pompoms and the cheering face, this is probably why she is my study mascot for over 3 years. When i lived in my dorm room she was there to support me to keep studying. (I took her bootleg version with me because Nendoroids aren't cheap and I was afraid my roommates might accidently damage her.) The Nendoroid is well made, the paint is done accurate and adds a nice dimension to the hair and her outfit. Only downside on this Nendoroid is that it only comes with 1 bent leg, i would love it to make her cheer mid-air while jumping!
Posing time!
Thank you for reading my review! I hope you enjoyed this review, as much as I did writing it.
