Hello all,
Today we will take a look at Hatsune Miku - school uniform version. This Nendoroid was released in spring 2014 as part of the ''Good Smile Kuji''. (kuji is Japanese for lottery) As Japanese graduate in Spring, they decide to integrate the graduation/school theme into this Nendoroid.
The box
The box of this figure is pretty standard. It shows some pictures of the poses. I like the petal printing on the box’s window.
The box’s contents
This Miku Nendoroid comes with an extra front hairpiece, one extra face, a sitting lower half, three extra arms, where one of the arms is holding a graduation certificate, a pair of glasses, a suitcase, a piano and music stool, flower and tear stickers and a diorama mansion, which can be used both as classroom and cherry tree garden. For some reason I got two of the same arms (see extra arm in pictures below) where 1 is much thicker than the other one. I don't know the story behind this extra arm since I got the Nendoroid secondhand.
The Nendoroid
This Miku is really cute. I think they made the Nendoroids quite appealing with the color scheme, normally mixing green and pink doesn't always work out that well. In this occasion it works surprisingly well. The pink is well blended at the eyes and the tips of her bangs. It's too bad they didn't add the blending with pink to the twin tails. The little bows in her hair add another touch of cuteness and match with her outfit. Her outfit is quite detailed and fits the school/ graduation theme quite well.
The extra parts
Like mentioned before, she comes with quite some extra parts. The headphones hair leaves quite a gap between the two hair parts. The glasses look absolutely too cute, but they are hard to equip. I put them once on, so I don't think this Miku nendoroid will ever be seen without them. The piano is really detailed and well executed. The suitcase is cute and easy to equip. The diorama mansion is about 15 cm * 15cm, which is just the right size for the nendoroids. Both scenes are quite adorable, I only had some problem assembling it. Which ended in using a cloths pin.
Thank you all for reading my review, I hope this review was as much fun to read as I had writing it.
